PCOS is when none of the cysts in your ovary become the dominant egg, causing it to float out to be fertilized or have a period. I have it also and my doctor put me on Metformin, a drug that is typically given to diabetics. I am not insulin resistant or overweight. I believe that there are 5 different types of PCOS. Metformin has been found to help all 5 types, insulin resistant or not. I agree that you should go to www.soulcysters.com. There are many more detailed explanations of PCOS and a lot of people with experience dealing with it. I got pregnant within a month and a half after taking the Metformin.
Do not listen to people that say you can't get pregnant. THere are so many different drugs that they can give you. Be your own advocate and don't take no for an answer. If your doctor won't help you or says that you won't get pregnant, go to a new doctor. No one wants you to get pregnant as much as you do, so you have to be proactive and do all that you can until you find answers.

Well I too have PCOS and my friend told me about this site. It has a little of everything from diet information to a forum that helps you. Especially if you have FAQ. Look at the bottom for the links.
For most women, PCOS is actually caused by insulin resistance. The dark patches of skin like the one on your leg are called acanthosis nigricans, and they can be a symptom of insulin resistance. The pill does not treat insulin resistance. Many women with PCOS take metformin (glucophage) for insulin resistance, and they often find that their PCOS symptoms improve because high levels of insulin are thought to cause the ovaries to produce too many male hormones. Correcting the insulin problem helps to correct their hormone problems. When you are able to see a doctor, you should ask about having a glucose tolerance test or a fasting insulin test to check for insulin resistance. A fasting glucose test (where they just test your blood sugar level) does not detect insulin resistance.
GO TO BARNES AND NOBLE WEBSITE OR STORE AND LOOK FOR A BOOK CALLED
THE INSULIN RESTISTANCE DIET. I lost 40 pounds.

Now everyone can cure infertility using this natural remedy http://pregnancyhelps.info
infertility can run in the family and one of the first things the doctor asks you when you go to a fertility clinic is your family history regarding cases of infertility or other reproductive issues.
If infertility is caused by genetic disorder then it's not unusual that one of the kids (your mom) doesn't have it and another does (your aunt).
two months of trying is still to early to be concerned about the fact that you might be infertile and it's also quite early to go to a fertility specialist. Go to a regular Obgyb to get a closer insight and see what ways there are are to improve your fertility rate.
Also remove alcohol, caffeine and cigarettes from your life because they might influence your chances too. Stress is also a risk factor when it comes to infertility.

you should try to google PCOS and it will give you a lot of info to read up on it. I thought I had this as well and I read all kinds of stuff on it. My test results came back neg. though and I just don't get my period on my own or ovulate. My dr. put me on Prover to start my period and then Clomid to make me ovulate.
Good luck to you I hope the test come back neg.

When you can't get pregnant, and things look good from the outside, it can be extremely frustrating.
The first thing to consider is how long have you been trying. About 80% of couples will get pregnant after six months of trying, and about 90% will be pregnant after 12 months of trying to get pregnant. Anyway this is a great methid to get pregnant fast https://tr.im/171f0
