I don't mean for this to sound bad ma'am and I'll understand any comments you throw at me like a ton of bricks
but there is one thing that comes to my mind when thinking about this question
the two things I know for a fact that can only get a hold of you in real life and that no photo can capture the first one is morbid once again sorry, but after seeing a massive car wreck happen in front of you. This happened back when I was a kid and ever since then every single photo I see looks fake and made up.
the second one is not as bad, it's nice. A new born baby, no photo can ever replace the true image of that little bundle when you first get to see him or her as they bring them into the room after all they get them cleaned up

The Lincoln Memorial is so huge in person - especially if you are about 10 years old.
I also got to see the Panama Canal - that is really awesome to see in person.
