Just do an Internet search on 'free typing programs' You should be able to find web sites and free programs that you can download. Here's a couple examples:

I would agree with the person who suggested Mavis Beacon; it really is a great program. I exercised my typing with MB way back in 7th/8th grade and after a few months could reach typing speeds between 60-70 WPM. Try it, it's great!

Mavis Beacon software is great. I have it myself. Go to this site and scroll down a bit. You will see an older version for sale, new, for $2 and shipping. You tell the program your level of accomplishment, and you will be given typing and tests to meet your needs. You really can't beat this program.

believe it or not you can actually teach yourself how to type fast and efficient too. there is this sentence you type over and over until you start to acquire speed and accuracy.

The fox and squirrel jumped over the zoo's yellow brick gate.

also type your name over and over.
