I'm in the exact same position as you and I'll bet you anything I've read more hp fanfic than you jk lol . So I love the whole fantasy, fairy tale idea so when i went to buy hp_7 i also bought twilight and new moon a series by stephanie meyer and i finished the two books. They are soooo good! Basically I'd recommend reading those two books because the release of the third and final novel i believe comes out in less than a week! So instantenously I became obbsessed with twilight! I've read fanfic and everything and I can't wait till Eclipse the last novel comes out!

Okay, so you like Harry Potter, you like Phillip Pullman...
I'm mostly a fantasy, sometimes sci-fi reader, and 14 years old. I loved those books too, and here are some others that I enjoyed.
***Indicates stuff i REALLY liked...the more stars the better. Make sure you at least check out all the series I've that are marked with four stars ;)
~~~
****The Chronicles of Narnia (Series)-- C. S. Lewis (one of the first fantasy series I read, and still a favourite)
***Inheritance Trilogy (Eragon, Eldest) -- Christopher Paolini (GOOD…nice long fantasy novels lol)
**Peter Pan and the Starcatchers, Peter Pan and the Shadow Thieves -- Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson (liked these lots)
*Kingdom Keepers -- Ridley Pearson (interesting at the least)
***Artemis Fowl (Series) -- Eoin Colfer (one of my favorites)
**The Supernaturalist -- also by Eoin Colfer (good as well)
anything else written by Eoin Colfer, for that matter...
anything written by Eric Walters, Louis Sachar or Edward Bloor (not fantasy but I like it anyways.) =)
****Abhorsen (Trilogy) -- Garth Nix (AMAZING)
**Keys to the Kingdom (Series) -- Garth Nix (liked these ones too)
The Serpent’s Egg (Trilogy) -- J. Fitzgerald McCurdy (okay, just barely started reading though)
****Harry Potter (Series) -- J. K. Rowling (I know you've read them but they're always worth a re-read!)
****Maximum Ride (Trilogy...action/little bit sci-fi) -- James Patterson (LOVED ‘EM ALL)
****Bartimaeus Trilogy -- Jonathan Stroud (REALLY good)
*The Leap -- Jonathan Stroud (sortof fantasy but not really...if you like a definate explained ending to everything don't read it…I really liked it though)
The Last Seige -- Jonathan Stroud (another non-fantasy but still good)
**A Wrinkle in Time (Series) -- Madelaine L’Engle
Percy Jackson and the Olympians (Series) -- Rick Riordan (okay I guess)
***Lost years of Merlin (Series) -- T. A. Barron (good as well)
****The Great Tree of Avalon (Trilogy) -- T. A. Barron (GREAT READS)
I have answered this question so many times, I decided to dedicate a web site to answer this question. Here it is:
http://www.life-after-harry-potter.com
Included is a list of only the best sorcery fantasy books, grade reading level, and a short review of each book.
I hope this helps.
