I was thinking something along the lines of a tag that they have to wear saying "Don't sell me a computer!"

To one of the posters below... the problem with taking your time out to help them with your problem means that they'll be calling on you all hours of the day to figure out why they can't get their password to work with the CAPS lock on. It's best to not even let them know that you're even the least bit savvy with computers.

So is this another of those things meant to be directed towards my wife and I? Because we have asked you for assistance with our computer?

I may be wrong but I very highly doubt that when you first started using computers that you were really such a computer genius that it was all perfectly fine and you made no mistakes and you knew it all. People new to anything usually need help.

Even though at times we want to do this it is something that just can't be done, more so on legal and ethical grounds. but the same stands for other industries as well.
I often find that a person who has not had proper explaination from thier techie poses the biggest hassells.. mean time the rest one can make some serious dosh from so you have to weigh up what you actually want

The answer to that is no. First off i have heard that saying but i disagree. How are people to learn if they never try. I do admit that different people have different learning curves but that is the challange of teaching and or the challenge of learning.

You cant expect someone to learn it overnight, And some are better than others so if you find yourself to be better than say your little sister then shouldnt you in a kind way that she will understand take the time to help her.

You both benift from it...

You are SO right. And those who have already gotten one should have to prove capability, or be restricted from buying ANYthing that even remotely resembles graphics software. For their own good.

Yeh. Definitely my sister. Things mysteriously stop working when she's in the vicinity.
