65... for another week. (65 going on 30. Age is totally relative! More a state of mind than anything else. I climbed Mt. Popocatepetl... (18,000+ feet, by Mexico City) ...when I was 23. And I think I could do it again today. AFTER doing what I did the first time. Very important!! Live in Mexico City first, for a couple of weeks, to become acclimated to its 7,500-foot elevation. Your percentage of oxygen-carrying red blood cells increases dramatically during that time. Gives you a BIG head-start for tackling the mountain!)

You don't need ropes and gear for Popo -- a symmetrical volcano. Just a good pair of crampons.
