I went to a buddhist temple in Japan some years ago that was "zen" in its ethos. Invited into meditation with the monks, I could barely stand the effects of the zen master's bamboo pole as he persistently hit me on the back in order to discipline my posture and assure that I remained focused. But if that is what you are into-- knock yourself out!

I read "esoteric"'s books and I practise (not seriously) Rumi's but I like reading Rumi's ,
These things are nice experience for me ; But some people said to be carefull as some can go "nut"' as they dont come back to real world.

"like the sound of one man clapping" is true which means : empty ......becarefull .

Who needs a zen center? It would probably be somewhat of a let-down.

Reality is so much more mystical. I have watched rain rising up from below, wetting my chin and keeping my hair dry.

i am not exactly sure what you mean, if you mean tuning in to yourself and the universe or your place in it and your spirituality, totally, its cool, you get insight and also have memories, and gain knowledge, but then you have to say, back to the real world ! and what can i take from this and apply to my life today
