Maybe it doesn't suit them. What is good for the United States doesn't necessarily mean it is good for others.

The US constitution was the model for many other countries' constitutions. Emphasis on individual rights and protection from the tyrannical powers of government are the basis of most constitutions in the western world.
Just because the US govt doesn't pay attention to the constitution like it used to, doesn't mean that other countries do not admire the philosophy behind the document. The themes expressed are universal.

Constitution does not work in certain countries because of cultural differences, and viewpoints on the role of government. The closet one to the US Constitution on that list is Mexico, and look at the political its corrupted from the bottom up or top down, and the American Constitution lends itself well to populism, or playing conquer on the weaker party.

Still, American Constitution works well for America even if it still has 19th century style government service at times. Look at Canada and Australia they used certain parts of the Untied States Constitution, but avoided other aspects of it because of the problems too much centralization of power at one base.

Communist countries constitution's look good on paper, but never practiced of course since absolute dictatorships don't like political opposition.

American Constitution gives more powerful executive, and presidential system that all common in the western hemisphere, and weaker legislature powers, but at the same time courts are stronger to make up for that to ensure the rules are within the bounds of the Constitution. American Constitution will be around 500 years from now because its flexible and wonderful piece of work written since 1787.

Most of those countries are run by brutal communist regimes that put down any attempts by the people to rebel and form a new government. Mexico is more like the US than the others but its history and culture is different. China has made progress toward more freedoms but is still a communist country. Cuba may change after Fidel dies.

China: Communists that are so corrupt they put plastic derivatives in food in order to sell it. Melamine is the same stuff my cookware is made of. They also make false drugs, put ethylene glycol into toothpaste, and all of this is done to further their country and money.

Cuba: Communists with power localized into few hands.

N. Korea: Communist dictator that would rather build nukes to defend his tiny peninsula against his own paranoid delusions than actually use the money to make sure his country doesn't try to cross the border into China.

It all goes down to power invested into few individuals. The US Constitution has three separate branches that can balance each other out, thereby not placing power in one individual. Those leaders don't want to lose their power.

When countries decide they want to democratize, the US sends constitutional scholars to help them form their own constitutions. You know why? Because the US has the oldest and most successful written constitution in the world. And many countries have adopted many aspects of the US Constitution.

Because they're pride won't let them accept or admit that the US constitution is superior to their own. The governments of those countries are powerful BECAUSE of their constitutions. Do you really think they would give that up?
