I'll have to admit I have a fetish with clean teeth and clean breath. I brush every time something goes in my mouth except for water. The dentist says I have brushed my teeth so much that if I'm not careful I am causing the gum to recede from my teeth. I brush with an Oral B- and I go from side to side and up and down, but I'm careful with the up and down.

I hold my toothbrush at a 45 degree angle along the gumline and make short back-n-forth strokes, spending at least 30 seconds on each quadrant.
