"Jeff Hardy was sent home by the WWE. We don't have any other details, but his program with Umaga was dropped and Umaga appears to be going face."

Nevermind , in Hardy's website , it say Jeff wasnt on RAW because he was healing from a bad neck and a bang up back. Hope that answers your question about Jeff's whereabout during this week's RAW.

He is alive. that rumor was just because he got hurt in a match. It looked like his neck snapped, but he's fine.
