Metallic taste on silverware?

you know that metallic taste metal forks and spoons, etc get when they scrape against other metal? Is there anyway to prevent it and how do you get rid of the metallic taste, if you can?

give the flatware a rinse in baking soda (1 tablespoon) and water (1 quart)

wash silverware alone with dawn and let them air dry, never leave silverware sitting in water that is what cause the metallic taste. sometimes they will even have a sme, so i wash them with a liitle vinegar and dawn let them soak just about 10 minutes then rinse well and air dry.
