My son asked this question. What would happen if 2 hurricanes collided? Let out that it probably couldn't happen and work in the hypothetical.

Okay, teach, have you ever watched the movie, Perfect Storm? That ran the scenario of 2 systems like this that collides in the Atlantic Ocean. If I remember right, they didn't merge, the 2 came together and spun off of each other, each one feeding the other's maximum wind velocities, kind of like an explosion if you're caught in the middle.

An easier example is take a couple of sticks and twirl them around closer and closer to each other in the water, watch and see.

Both will be dancing, each one trying to go around the other as winds from one hurricane will be blowing in the opposite direction with respect to the other when they come near.

Maybe they will cancel each other or maybe even worse, they combine together..
