Better question, Shouldn't all DUI offenders have their license revoked?
Fact I've seen a driver 76 years old run circles around the rest of us in the mountains. His KW was geared out for 130! But I never seen a driver that could come down a mountain as fast as he could without losing it. He put our young a**ses to shame.

It varies person by person -- a lot (not all) of oldsters
voluntary cease driving when they feel incapible (which
is usually before they would have be revoked). The answer
to this ain't easy, so here's a return question; at what
age should young people be allowed to drive (irregardless
of individual maturity ?)

I don't think it should be a certain age, but maybe at every driver's licence renewal after age 65, people should be required to be interviewed to determine their ability to drive. I think the biggest problem with old drivers is their senility, not physical abilities to drive. Everyone is different this way - some of us become senile before we hit 65 haha..

when they can no longer drive sensibly. It depends on the person. I have seen some drive at 90 and do better than a 20 year old, but I have also seen that reversed..

I think old ppls should have to retake the test because they can't all drive at 1 age.

Me for one don't think it's the age at all that matters.
it's if they can DRIVE or SEE OVER THE STEERING WHEEL!!!!!!!! TO DRIVE without either one in place the age doesn't count.
