Well, I'm not sure about environmental justice. That smacks of an agenda in and of itself so I'd just assume settle for politicians that G*d forbid actually listen to scientists and experts in the fields concerned and set policy accordingly.

Rather than implementing environmental protection policies with the guidance and scientific assistance of some fundamentalist appointee from the Pat Robertson Law School who's not completely convinced the Rapture isn't happening and therefore "what's the big deal?" if the planet warms up or toxins could kill our grandchildren.

Or worse, having some guys who just happen to work for Exxon/Mobil get the editorial double check for those darned scientists working for NASA/EPA/NOAA etc, to make sure that "all sides" are represented in the great global warming debate.

I wish I was being hyperbolic but more than a few appointees have been called out on such or similar conflicts of interest regarding government science reports produced at virtually every agency that produces them including CIA/NSA, EPA, NOAA, NSF, FDA, CDC and NASA among others.

Resigning and letting someone that recognizes property rights would be a really good start.
