No, however the power of suggestion is very real. The main thing to remember is to not believe in them and thus you break their power.

Well if you do believe and someone has cursed you then you have three courses of action. First you can do an over all protection spell on your self that depending on the degree of the curse depends on how strong you need to make the protection spell. Second you could figure what curse was done to you then undo it and send it back to the sender. Third you could do is a return to sender spell but it only works if you know the name of the curse the ingredients used and the date it was cast. Those are the best that I can give you but I am sure that there is a better way.

CURSE - As per dictionary the meaning is - Profane or obscene expression made usually of surprise or anger by affected persons or by persons OUT OF JEALOUSY, by ill motivated persons.
I have have heard of curses becoming true only Myths. In general life people may say but their will be absolutely no effected as the cursor does it for expecting his own good out of Jealousy.
Some people claiming to be gifted in magic or witchcraft set up business to exploit fears, in order to profit from the superstitious and gullible. This has been a very large part of the myths (and bad reputation) of the modern day Roma people (Gypsies), as well as Voodoo and Santeria practitioners, who among other things peddle both in curses and cures for curses.

Magick 101 a curse is only as powerfull as YOU allow it to be. The one thing you can't change is a persons free will. And if they deside that it has no power over them then so mode it be.
