I already posted this in singles and dating , but I'm curious to see what philosophers have to say about this.

So far the philosophers' answers suck. For people that are supposed to be lovers of knowledge you should have more clever answers.

Just so you know Grey, your avatar isn't my type (and by that I mean it's ugly) so I wouldn't want to email or im you, and I wouldn't want you to spell cunnilingus anywhere near me!

On the surface yours looked like a shallow question but underneath it's the question every romantic asks himself or herself before they take that leap of love (or lust LOL). Ask it of ten people and you'll get ten different answers--most will be horrible (Grey). But keep thinking the question, turning it over in your mind and figuring out why you asked it. It's the exact same question you'll ask of your future friend, lover, or spouse. Keep asking the question and one day you might just get that answer from the gem you were looking for. Why pick me? Because we'll never meet but in my heart I hope you find the one you're looking for.

Because I can correctly define, pronounce and spell "cunnilingus."
But, too bad. You can't IM or e-mail me. HA!-Ha!
Edit: "Grey- cunnilingus is not a word." Google it, dear, then come back and comment. Note: It may take a couple of years.
Final Word: "Grey, your avatar isn't my type . . . so I wouldn't want to email or im you." Fear not, sweetheart, I do not troll the internet looking for children to exploit.

The opposite of a correct statement is a false statement. The opposite of a profound truth may well be another profound truth.
— Niels Bohr (1885-1962)
All the time we are aware of millions of things around us--these changing shapes, these burning hills, the sound of the engine, the feel of the throttle, each rock and weed and fence post and piece of debris beside the road--aware of these things but not really conscious of them unless there is something unusual or unless they reflect something we are predisposed to see. We could not possibly be conscious of these things and remember all of them because our mind would be so full of useless details we would be unable to think. From all this awareness we must select, and what we select and call consciousness is never the same as the awareness because the process of selection mutates it. We take a handful of sand from the endless landscape of awareness around us and call that handful of sand the world.
— Robert Pirsig, (Zen & Art Of Motorcycle Maintenance; p.69)
We do not see things as they are, we see them as we are
— Old Talmudic saying
Each person paints their picture of reality with a brush dipped in the pigments of the past.
— Jerry Andrus
Everyone takes the limits of his own vision for the limits of the world.
— Arthur Schopenhauer
Translation: your choice on who you choose will be based on your own preconceptions and experiences. If something in someone's answer resonates with your own experiences and confirms them, you will pick them.

Obviously, you wanted shallow and material answers for your question, since you said it was originally from Singles and Dating. You're getting philosophical answers from the Philosophy group. What did you expect?

I can anwser a question without being a smartass for one..plus I am a load of fun. I am not a slouch in the bed, and I am pretty handy around the house. I also give good backrubs, if you are interested....

why do you expect ppl to be able to read your mind? unless you already have in mind an answer that is logical and could be explained in a coherent and succint manner, you cannot make the claim that the person who you have not chosen is not wise.

If you limit your choices only to what seems possible or reasonable, you disconnect yourself from what you truly want, and all that is left is a compromise.
