Is the original Xbox's network adapter any stronger or better than the Xbox 360's wireless network adapter?

I have only had my 360 for about 3 weeks, and to avoid paying yet another $100 (all these accessories are breaking the bank) I tried to use the original xbox wireless network adapter on my 360, and it has worked just fine (to my surprise).
The only drawback I have found is that the original adapter supports WEP key security only, so I had to set my router to WEP instead of the superior WPA2 security.
Other than that, I have yet to get disconnected from Live and it looks like I have a strong connection compared to most opponents when I play Bomberman (the only Live game I have so far).

To my knowledge, no, but there's probably multiple wireless adapters available. If you find one for the original Xbox that's stronger than anything you can find for the 360, go ahead and use it though; original wireless adapters work on the 360 as well.
