Hi. I'm Spanish and I agree Bush is a good president for USA. He knows what to do with terrorists. My country is not so safe cos we are too soft with terrorists. I asked about Guantanamo detention center in my country and everyone was against it, so terrorists are here safer than in USA

I am not saying that Bush isn't responsible for no attacks, but there are so many factors that go into whether or no there are attacks. Whether or not terrorists are planing attacks, whether or not police catch them, if the can get the materials/training they need, etc. There were no major terrorist attacks in the beginning of the 20th century, so does that mean that Presidents of that time had a good anti-terrorism policy, and were responsible for there being no terrorist attacks?
Bring back dignity to the White House!!!!!? Are you crazy?
Bush has expended the powers of the President more than any other President in the history of the country, and has been part of numerous scandals:
-Attorney firings scandal
-infringing on rights guaranteed by the Bill of Rights by the PATRIOT act
-going to war on false pretenses: WMD's
-calling people who don't agree with him "cut and runners"
-his utter disregard for the system of checks and balances
-his signing notes, where he signs a bill into law, but says he doesn't have to follow it
-supporting the Comprehensive Immigration Reform Bill

Giving broad powers to law enforcement will almost always increase security. Asking people to be vigilant and to report suspicious activities will almost always help to safeguard communities.
The issue is when this broad police powers and public vigilance serve to severely undermine people's rights. Considering there are groups in this country still plotting to do us harm (e.g. the Fort Dix attack plan), increased police powers and a vigilant society help to save lives. Maybe it will be time for a change when we start interring American citizens again, like we did after the attack on Pearl Harbor - but that has not happened yet.
Was the President responsible for the broadening of law enforcement powers and increased public vigilance? For the most part, yes. Could he have gone about it in a way that was probably more palatable to most people? Probably yes.
Like it or not, he was elected into office (twice) through the process outlined in the U.S. Constitution. The Legislature supported most of his actions, despite what they may now claim. If people disagree with him, there is a remedy they can exercise (impeachment - ask former Governor Gray Davis, D. Ca) and this hasn't been done (and at this point, probably won't be). It's much easier to point the finger at the person doing the "dirty" work, than to stand up and assert what one thinks is right.

What did the dumb Blond say on the Internet? Never mind, you already answered my question.....
Honor and dignity my a**. You don't have a clue as to what is going on, do you?
If you think he is doing such a great job then you should join the military and get shot at and watch your friends die. You may break a nail though. Now go to the mall dingaling... or maybe you should read the news once in awhile...
Also, the Neocons had no problems taking care of Florida when it got hit by hurricanes, since it was Dubyas brother as Governor, but now it's all the fault of the Democrats for Katrina problems. Give me a break.....

The terrorists have not felt the ought to inspire anymore aggression out of the u . s .. Our attack on the sovereign united states of Iraq has created a extensive recruiting boon to agencies like Al Quaeda. Why difficulty stinging the large back in case you do not ought to? the different countries that have been struck are all countries that the two are backing faraway from the international "conflict on terrorism" or never quite entered into it. The terrorists ought to persuade those countries to tutor aggressive against Islam and the middle East back so as that they might then factor and say, "See, See, we informed you the Westerners are superb here to occupy our Holy Lands!" additionally, the 4.5% unemployment fee is a lie. The measurements replaced below the former Bush and Clinton administrations. Now they exclude all persons who have been receiving unemployment advantages, yet are actually not from now on. additionally, the employment boost numbers are fudged making use of factors that are in step with historic tendencies to attempt to make amends for countless unknowns. If calculated a similar way because it became pre-Bush I it would be closer to 10%.

I don't think Nagin and Blanco were that incompetent, politically at least, they've done a good job of blaming everybody else for their ineptitude.

Isn't that precious.
And thank you also Mr. President, that we haven't all been trampled by the Heffalumps or Woozles, that are every bit as big a threat to us as Al Qaida in Iraq. Please Mr. President, bless momma, and gramma, and cousin lizzy, and my kitten fluffy. Amen.
