I was told not to take regular Excedrin so I would say no on the PM also. Call and ask even if you see her on Thursday.

No you can't take ANY Excedrin...not even the PM because of the ingredients. You can only take painmeds that are acedomenaphine only not mixed with ibuprofen or aspirin or anyting else. It will cause bleeding in your baby's brain and may even cause fetal death so DON'T DO IT! You can use Tylenol PM or if you are just wanting a sleep aid, you can use unisom.

Excedrin usually has aspirin in it which is a big prego no no. Tylenol PM is safe though. Check the ingredients and see if there is aspirin in it. And you can always call the l&d ward at your local hospital with any questions and remain anonymous if you don't want to "bother" your doctor after hours. Though let me say, you can always bother your doctor. It's his/her job, and believe me they get paid for it.

Call the nurse hotline to see what they say. Usually those kind of things are okay in moderation but you should always check with your Dr or midwife first before you take it. Everyone is different so what may be okay for some won't be okay for others.

I wouldn't take it. Remember anything you take your baby does as well. Tylenol is ok because it is mild but I am not so sure about the sleeping agent. Believe me, there have been a few nights when I have really wanted too but I avoided it. I would double check with your doctor before you do.

NO. Do not take anything with asprin in it. Excedrin has asprin in it. Asprin will cause fetal bleeding. The only safe pain reliever to take while pregnant is plain old tylenol.
Good luck!

nope, it has asprin in it which can cause bleeding. Tylenol PM is ok though. The sleep additive is benydryl, which is safe during pregnancy.
