Because the UN did not think it was necessary at this time.
We should have listened to them because we are going to need thier help eventually.

The U.N gave Saddam Hussein at least 12 opportunities to change the way he ruled his country and he snubbed his nose at them every opportunity he was given.
Killing his own people by the thousands and claiming that he was seeking more powerful weapons to continue his evil reign was not what the U.N. had in mind for a better Iraq.
Hussein was threatening U.S. and world interests, consorting with terrorists, and playing footsie with the IAEA by agreeing to inspections and then forbidding the actual inspections. At least Iran's Ahmadinejad is not killing those in his own country who oppose him, This is not true of Hussein who was a ruthless expansionist dictator.
Remember these words my liberal friends; There will come a day where it will be proven that President Bush was doing the right thing in this fight against terrorists, insurgents, and evil dictators. Let's hope we all survive the days leading up to that realization.

I ask you to go back to 1991. The UN Resolutions imposed on Iraq.
Saddam chose to break them or ignore them.
Bush 2 did everything possible to work with the UN. The UN chose to ignore the violations. We didn't.
It's OK to Hate Bush, or to hate the War. But please do not try to re-write History, in an attempt to place blame. That is a tactic for the uneducated and weak minded.
I doubt you are either.....

Perhaps You have not read about how France, Russia and China were being paid to delay any sanctions just as Iran is now doing. If more people paid attention to facts many senseless questions could be eliminated.

Somehow they determined that they didn't need any sort of post-war plan. Several military people suggested that they make a plan, and some even developed occupational strategies (i.e. protect the remaining infrastructure), but the Bush Admin ignored them all under the stupid pretense that we would be greeted as liberators and Iraq would embrace Democracy.
Fast forward to the future...civil war. Brilliant.

Hmm, easy:
Bushit' and his minions don't really care about the world, only themselves. You can thank this family for much of the BS over the last 100 years including Prescott Bush when he funded the Nazis from his own bank. Why does this family hate America, why does this family hate the Constitution, why does this family hate the Bill of Rights?
The revolution is coming, will you be ready?

Today is July 31st, 2007. The UN just authorized 27,000 UN troops to go to Darfur.
Now, how long have people been talking about Darfur? How many years?
And 27,000 blue helmets is going to fix everything. Right.

They did. You should know that.
The UN was so Corrupt, that it stole millions of dollars.
Saddam and the UN worked together to steal millions that was intended to feed the Iraqi children.
Hundreds of thousands of children starved. Clinton knew it was happening, but he had "buddies" in the UN.
The Clinton Adminstration, Saddam, and the UN all worked together in a big Fraud.
