9/10 is larger than 5/6.
There's two ways to figure it out:
Method 1: Find the common denominator. The easiest way to do that is to multiply the two denominators (the bottom numbers, 10 and 6) together.
So 10 x 6 = 60.
For each fraction, multiply the numerator by the same thing that you would multiply the denominator by to get 60.
9 x 6 = 54 and 5 x 10 = 50.
That gives you 9/10 = 54/60 and 5/6 = 50/60.
So 54 is bigger than 50, so 9/10 is larger than 5/6.
Method 2: Divide and see which decimal is larger.
9 divided by 10 is .9 while 5 divided by 6 is .833, so .9 is more. 9/10 is larger.
May God bless you.

Well, if you didn't want to actually SOLVE the problem, ask yourself about what's left over. Would you rather have a tenth of a pie or a sixth of a pie if you had to get the leftover piece?
