Why would someone sell this iphone for cheap?

i understand that ebay users start out with a smaller bid. But what if the bid doesnt go up by the end date?

I have also seen some iphones going for ten dollars. could this be a scam??

the reserve hasn't been met yet, meaning that unless the bid hits the price that he wants, he is not required to sell it to the winning bid.

If i put an iPhone with no starting bid, but with a reserve of $450, and the bid ends and the winning bid was $425, i do NOT have to sell it.

the seller probably has a reserve of close to market value.

I'm guessing it's a scam...I wouldn't think something 600 bucks would go down to 15. :1 But... it does say:
Brand new iphone, I am having to relist because of everyone's favorite reason, the nigeria scam.

...don't believe everything you see.

If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. Iphones for 10 bucks when they retail for over 600 bucks. Definitely something smells and it isn't of the good variety.

if u look it will say reserve not met and if it's not met buy the end date he doesn't have to sell it so he is not willing to sell it for that price so it's probably not a scam
