The numbers show an overwhelming slant on Fox towards both Republicans and conservatives. Of the 56 partisan guests on Special Report between January and May, 50 were Republicans and six were Democrats -- a greater than 8 to 1 imbalance. In other words, 89 percent of guests with a party affiliation were Republicans.
On Special Report, 65 of the 92 guests (71 percent) were avowed conservatives--that is, conservatives outnumbered representatives of all other points of view, including non-political guests, by a factor of more than 2 to 1. While FAIR did not break down the non-conservative guests by ideology, there were few avowed liberals or progressives among the small non-conservative minority; instead, there was a heavy emphasis on centrist and center-right pundits (David Gergen, Norman Ornstein, Lou Dobbs) and politicians (Sen. John Breaux, Sen. Bob Graham, Rep. Christopher Shays).

If FOX News ever took pot shots at the right the way the so-called "liberal" media takes pot shots at the left, then they'll be Fair and Balanced.
What I don't get is why many conservatives shy away from the slant. Chances are, if you're agreeing with any news station too much, it's probably slanted too much toward whatever your philosophy is. And... that's okay, as long as it's not your only source of info.
Instead of "Hannity & Colmes" why not "Hannity & Franken" - whichever side of the fence you're on, you gotta admit - that'd be a fun ride (and a little more evenly balanced)!

I agree completely, and would add that show hosts often turn off microphones of Democrats, interrupt them or allow other Republicans to interrupt them, and break for commercials whenever Democrats are making good points. Add to this Mr. Alan Colmes, a token but wimpy liberal whose main purpose is to show wimpy liberals are and how poorly they defend their territory and ideas.

The are they political propaganda arm of the extreme right.
The only people that don't know it are the poor fools that aren't willing to believe all corporate media, Fox being no exception is a joke.
Some is just more hilarious than others.

It is not as unbiased as Republicans would like to believe, but it is not as slanted as Democrats would like to believe. To hear Republicans tell the story all other news outlets are liberal, this is not really an absolute truth. To hear Democrats tell it Fox News is not news at all, this also is not true. So I guess the real answer would be that it depends on what your particular political leaning might be. In all issues there are 3 sides, my side, your side and somewhere in the middle the truth lies. Being an independent I try to get my news from multiple sources and look for the truth in the middle.

I like Fox News and am quite comfortable think of them as tilting to the right. Even though they tilt right, they do make an effort to give you both sides of an issue.
On Special Report, their roundtable discussions usually include a couple of liberals and 2 or 3 conservatives. An the libs like Juan Williams get plenty of time to speak.
It's a refreshing change from the rest of the lefty news media.

Fox is as fair and balanced as you'll find. Every media on Earth has a bias or agenda.

Leave it alone already, far left stations like NBC, MSNBC, and of course CNN, tell such a one sided story I don't know how people who watch these stations can throw stones at all. Fox at least has a somewhat balanced story, can you give the same stats for guest on CNN, that would be something to see.

Most definitely not! What kind of news reporter throws in their own opinions on the news they're reporting? Unethical ones, that's who. Just watch Fox And Friends. Those guys are SOOOOOOOOO annoying! I hate them so much! Plus they sexually harrass the women reporters on air ALL THE TIME. It's disgusting.

Fox is fair and balanced and they do indeed pi55 the Libs off, because they focus on both sides. Libs and their media like one side and that's the left.
