I wrote a book I would like to promote via radio. Are these interviews usually done over the phone, or in the studio?

The reason I ask is that I will soon be moving overseas. Thanks!

The great majority of radio interviews are done over the phone. With extended radio interviews, like those half-hour pieces on NPR, they'll set it up so you talk into a microphone at a radio station wherever you are (Chicago, China, etc.) and that audio is sent directly over to the radio affiliate station.

I did interviews both in the studio, over the phone and backstage at concerts etc when I worked in radio... so now you know. As long as the radio is interested in hearing about your book, you'll be able to work something out...

Best of luck! I hope your book gets sold out!

The society wherein we are living is corrupt. in spite of the indisputable fact that, on a scale of a million to 10, the politicians' expenses fiasco would not have even scored a million. Did you notice how the excellent-rich Murdoch destroyed the government along with his lies? there replaced right into a reason of that: That which massive organization try to fool humanity into demanding would be a lot worse than that which we've! The great-rich capitalists (like those that very own massive organization, which includes the media) are making use of their effect to plant the seeds of mistrust into the heads of the electorate. they're doing this to control humanity into electing suitable-wing governments, because of the fact suitable-wing governments foolishly settle for the massive organization lie that they are going to be honest and compassionate to humanity while they take administration. the applicable-wing (Conservatives) will freely hand greater political capability and administration to important organization on each occasion they might. while massive organization do take administration, the political gadget would be bumped off thoroughly, precious elections will end (people will vote for the party whose MP's get to take a seat down on the desks interior the rubber-stamping place of work), humanity would be set at conflict with itself (in a conflict which will under no circumstances end) mutually as further and extra tax-payers' funds is directed on the conflict industry. (it somewhat is already going on interior the u . s . a .). Humanity is at a turning element: we are on the element the place the capitalists are finally taking on. suitable-wing (Conservative) governments freely hand capability to the capitalists, so as that they are totally supported with the aid of the capitalists' media networks. The Left-wing (alongside with the ecu) won't bow to the demands of the capitalists, so the capitalists render the Left-wing unelectable (making use of wildly exaggerated comments approximately somewhat trivial subject concerns of their media). i think which you will have considered a number of those. suitable-wing "Freedom" is bringing approximately our extinction, and the Left have not have been given a desire because of the fact Murdoch fools humanity with the line that any Left-wing determination may well be a lot a lot worse than extinction. Which a ways too many people are too stupid to confirm is a lie. human beings have been made stupid with the aid of the media! i'm hoping you presently see the way all of it works, and who the actual enemies are.

One tip along these lines -- send a postcard to stations that you think might be interested in your book (news/talk, I would assume). Tell them you'll send them a review copy of the book if they want to interview you on the air. That way you are only sending books to those who will give you the publicity, and save a bundle.
