Best of luck! I was born in San Diego and lived there from 1973-78, 1980-82. I was a Navy brat and have MANY fond memories, even though I wasn't 9 years old when we left San Diego for good. To this day, I still root for the Chargers and Padres.
Please be mindful California is extremely expensive and rather crowded, primarily in SoCal.

I have been there...used to live near Sacramento. I love the state and the people are nice. Have a great time there and I do wish you luck! We'll miss you a lot!
