The lesser of the two evils !! Yup, there are people that support GWB (27% ) and, the majority of the remainder are more intelligent, not willing to be a follower of someone that causes more harm than good. We are divided because of the BS that is being flung around. Politicans refuse to accept blame/responsibility for their actions and, most Americans, would say that "what kind of MAN is he" ?? Not a Man,not a mouse( mice are innocnent) , but a chicken s***!! George Washington has been known for the quote, " I cannot tell a lie".

Polarization in the U.S. is due to a growing disparity between the haves and the have nots. Republicans and conservatives have a let them eat cake attitude, while Democrats at least recognize problems and attempt to fix them. The last Republican Congress' most important priority was not helping Americans-but hindering them with Bankruptcy 'reform' legislation and pro-corporation legislation. Their base was eroding through the 80s until they decided to use Jesus as their front man in the 90s to appeal to evangelical Christians. Odd, when considering their platform represented everything Jesus railed against. Perhaps Americans will get wise to this when credit cards have 45% APR, their civil liberties are gone, and we have a trillion dollar trade imbalance with China. Republicans are simply corrupt, unethical and would sell their mothers for another dollar.

The art of negotiation is dead. Both sides are polarized in hatred for each other and want it their way or the highway. A good example is the immigration bill - many conservatives thought they were doing what the public wanted but the people don't trust them any more. They didn't believe the border would really be closed and said close it first; and the left won't let that happen.

It isn't. Look at some of the political or social divisions in the past, in the US or elsewhere. While most won't admit it, the differences between liberals and conservatives in the US today are relatively minor if you compare them to past examples. Look at the Nazis and Communists in Germany in the thirties. By comparison, the extreme wings of our two major parties would qualify as a single, centrist party given the number of political values they have in common.

If money is the root of all evil, follow the money trail.
I'd start with the politicians and the lobbyists and the money brokers like George Soros.

Because we Republicans, and those like us, want our Families, Friends and fellow Countrymen to Live. We Want to eradicate the Islamic Terrorists who have Publicly vowed to eradicate Us.
The Extreme Liberal Democrats want to trust these Islamic Terrorists, and really believe that if we just appease them, that they will leave us alone. They are Fools who would get us all Killed.

its not good to end a message of unity by saying 'go rams'

Because too many people are selfish. No one wants to be "put out" by being second, or waiting their turn, etc. Now, being polite means you are weak so others will take advantage.

Far too many people think it's all about them.
