I just answered one of your earlier questions. Clownfish are hardy and one of the easier marine species to keep, but you'll need to do some research on setting up a proper saltwater tank to have them do well. Watch them carefully before you buy them to see that the colors are bright (with no dullness or white spots) and the fish are active - you don't want to start with a fish that may become sick. If you see dead fish in the tank, or any with the dullness or spots, it's best to pass on ALL of them.

Rather than a 20, consider getting a 29 gallon. It takes up the same amount of floor space as a 20 gallon long, but it's taller and holds more water. This makes the conditions more stable for your fish (something they appreciate!). A 20 will cost about $35, a 29 will run about $55, so you'll only spend about $20 more. These are more easily found used than the 100 gallon you asked about earlier. I've picked up two at auctions for about $8 each (and one came with a stand and filter!). Also watch yard sales and the classifieds in your newspaper.

Just make sure you give the clowns a proper diet as well - they can eat marine flakes or pellets as their main food, but they also need some vegetable matter in their diet, and like some frozen marine fish foods from time to time as a treat.

i just responded to your last post. all i will say now is do some more research on keeping a saltwater tank. if you never kept fish befor i wouldnt recomend starting here. the tank need to go through the nitrogen cycle befor you can add a clownfish. Once again go for the percula and not ocellaris they are the same fish just the percula is bred in captivity. do some research on the nitrogen cycle and the specific needs of clownfish befor just throwing a tank together and putting the fish in there.

Depends on where you buy the tank. Then you will need salt and water..Salt is about 26.99 a bag..Then there is sand and live rock,,Rock is about 6.99 a pound you would wont 1 and half to two pounds per gallon. Then there is a filter and test kits..It can cost several hundred dollars..I wouldn't put a pair of clown in anything under 30 gallons.I was guess you are looking at between 200 to 250 maybe 300 depending on where you buy your things that is not including the tank of course.
If you really wont to do this and need help you can email me at missc4@adelphia.net..I would hate to see you jump and then fall;/
