You need to see a qualified physician.

The cost is not horrifically expensive, but it's not cheap. But it DOES require regular monitoring for those on it as the use of the drug can cause other issues making pregnancy difficult.

You don't have to be married, but I cannot think of an instance where a reputable physician is going to prescribe a fertility drug to a teenage girl.

ADDED--
If you are going to do this (which is not likely a good idea), PLEASE use donor sperm. You have NO RIGHT to conceive a child by a man who is unaware that you are trying to get pregnant. If you want to be a single parent (which, by the way, selfish) don't trap someone else into child support.

Well, when I went on it... about the middle of November 2006, I got my prescription filled at a local CVS and it was $35 for only 5 pills. Usually no insurance will cover it since most insurances don't cover infertility. Your doctor has to be the one to prescribe them to you. You don't have to be married to get them, as long as a doctor prescribes them for you. Your doctor will help you make the decision on whether or not an 18 year old can get it. Hope this helped!

Clomid is not that expensive $25-$50 per cycle. Do not take this medicine, without having regular ultrasounds by a doctor. Clomid is a very strong fertility medication. If you take this without regular ultrasounds, it may cause severe hyperstimulation to your ovaries. It also can cause cyst on your ovaries. So, please dont just take it just because just about everyone on these Trying to conceive forums are taking it.

I thought you were seventeen.....You don't need a baby! You should really get married to that guy you want to propose to first...be with him for a while...then have a baby when you are both ready.
