It's nice, but what is with people taking names from Harry Potter. I know it's popular, but it almost seems wrong. Plus, people are going to think of the radio brand with the name also.

Well my 1st thought is "Sirius Radio"

.Do you like the name "Sirius James" for a particular reason? Or do you like the sound of it because it sort of defines you to an extent...meaning you are serious, and that you would like people to know that? Or something?

.Or do you just simply like it, because you like it.?.

**Hmmm...well I really think it sounds like more of a name you would hear in the news...for example:

"Today in the news....Sirius James robbed yet another bank in _____."

OR

"In sports today, Sirius James crossed the finish line in record time! I guess his name says it all........he was pretty serious about winning the race!"

....Do you sort of get my drift here? The name is not bad by any means, so don't get me wrong -k- I just think it sounds like more of a glorified name or rather alias and/or nickname that we would hear about.....

hmmmm...almost sounds kind of like a super hero name too?

:):) Anyways, its a cool name. Serious.

.Speaking of super hero...if you are interested in that stuff, you might want to develop a character and apply to be on that t.v. show for the next super hero or whatever. Sirius James would be a knockout, if you made up the character.

Well, you seem like a Harry Potter fan, but if you think that the child will be okay with a name like that then do it. Sirius is a very old name and therefore not seen as often anymore. You'll have the benefit of your child's name being unique but not unheard of before.

I think that if your child hates Harry Potter than you're going to have a big problem. If you don't know Harry Potter, James is Harry's father and Sirius is his father's best friends as well as Harry's godfather. I do like the name however, I think that you could be placing a curse on your child (pardon the pun).

Actually, I think it's fine. Many, many people name their children after characters in books. You'd be surprised how many names common today were made popular soley because of romance books or soap operas (Stephanie was never a popular name until after an evil Stephanie on a soap opera and in one year, it became the 40th most popular name.). By having an average name for a middle name, your child has the option of going by James if he wants.

My favorite name for the past 15 years was Cedric. My guyfriend said no.. :(
