Better if your pregnant with a boy, for obvious reasons.
The earliest I've heard of any one finding out the sex was 12 weeks, and everytime it was someone pregnant with a boy.
At 16 weeks, if your using a good machine, you should be able to atleast see if it's a boy.. AS LONG as your little one OPENS WIDE and lets you!
I'll be 12 weeks my next appointment, so I know how you feel. SOOOOOOOOOO ready to find out the sex! I hope you do, and I hope it's w/e u want.

They can usually tell by 16 weeks. I had an ultrasound at 12 wks 2 days and they were able to tell then, although the u/s tech said that she couldn't be 100% sure. I had another at about 22 weeks and sure enough, she was right the first time.
Oh, and it's a boy. With girls you look for 3 lines, with boys...well...it's obvious.

It is possible but most ultrasound technicians probably won't say that they are 100%. It is alot clearer at around 20 weeks or so but GOOD LUCK

You could get a good well educated guess, but I'd wait two or three more weeks just to be sure.

Just depends on how cooperative the baby is. If there's a clear view, the doc should have no issues telling you what sex the baby is.

Hope that you can see what you need to see to know! My sister did not know the sex of her first child simply because of the way the baby sat.
