i have comcast internet(i'm on my laptop right now)and just these past couple weeks, my internet has stopped working. the thing is that my internet will go on and off...towards dark my internet will usually go back on for a few hours and suddenly turn off again.
i've tried "powercycling"(where the pc is directly connected to the comcast cable module) already and it doesn't work.
Right now i'm using someone elses' wireless connection (we live in the middle of the woods and Comcast is the only highspeed internet available up here...
i really don't want to have to have a technician come up here.
my modem has the 'power' and 'pc' lights lit and the 'cable' light flashes while the 'data(send/recieve)' lights stay unlit...i know when the internet starts up again because the recieve light starts flashing again. any suggestions or help would be GREATLY appreciated and i'll give 10 points a thumbs up to the best answer!
please help!
thank you so much,
Celene=]

Ok, I have the same thing too!

I called one time because this was happening to me. It's because of an area outage, the central system for your region has gone out, just like a power outage. The only thing you can do is wait for it to come back, it sucks but I hope it helps!
