I've heard that it's because they're insecure and like to bring people down to feel better about themselves. But...how can they do that? Why can't they just be confident in themselves and admire others for who they are?
I remember I got so mad when my "friends" =p were looking in the yearbook and said this one girl looked like a guy. I just looked at them like "Okay...you're immature."
Ahhhhh...Freshman year...
I just wish more people would enjoy bringing others up instead of putting them down...

I think that you are so right. People now days Judge each other by the way they look, or the way they dress if it's not Hollister, then they don't like you. Or by the things you do. People think that Lindsay Lohan is an immature brat that is high all the time. Well no one actually knows her on here. So if they say that she is a drug addict maybe she is, but they don't know her, so they don't know how she feels. Sure drugs are bad, and you shouldn't do them. Maybe she feels like that's how she blows of steem, maybe she feels like no one pays attention to her, so she does things like that. So ur actions make people judge you. I personally have never met her, but I really don't think that people can say she is a brat if they don't know her, or that she thinks the world of her and no one else and they don't know her. Today people are soo mean, it makes me sick. I admitt it, I can be VERY VERY mean, but when I'm not, I'm really nice.
People that do call each other names, and say bad things about them ARE insecure. It's true.
When I was in high school, I was popular, because I was mean to the kids that were shy, and kinda neerdy looking. Because I thought of myself as someone who people like because I have money in the bank or i have a bigger chest.
After I graduated High School, I stopped talking to my "Friends" and made nice ones that didn't make fun of other people. I realized, that I was the one who was ugly, or fat inside.
I wish the world was nicer

I AGREE!!! when i lived in Chile i was considered the hottest girl *lol* although i'm only considered ONE of the cutest now(california), but my best friend in Chile was a bully...i would lecture him about it, but he is still like that...the strange thing is that he is secretely sensitive, writes love poems, and a hopeless romanticxDxDxD most of the times, the guys who develop crushes on me at school here, however, happen to be kinda like bullies too...=S i think guys tend to be that way because they are hiding their sensitivity or something...and as far as girls go...i USED to be the ugliest girl in school in juinor high and was bullied all the time and girls would trip, harrass, force me to do their homework, etc...anyways, i decided not to care the reason why people are jerks...if they are, they are...there is NO excuse to treat people poorly...mmm...i read in psychology today that their is no reason...it's just because the kids enjoy being jerks...but i personally have to disagree with that...
just make sure that you are happy and that you stand up for what you believe in...

some people have been put down so many times they have no self confidence, the only way the feel confident is to put down other people so they feel superior to them which is wrong. Its just they way they were brought up.
dont be mad at these types of people instead try to help them teach them and help regain their confidence through a healthier way such as friendship

Most of em are jealous because they dont have a life, and they envy u, so to make themselves feel better, ot to show themselves that they are above u, they make fun of u!

You're talking about a perfect world....And I'm sure you know that we will never live in a perfect world....I work in public education and I see it every single day. Nothing has changed since I was a kid and nothing will change when I have kids of my own. I hate to say it, but a nice swift punch in the face usually works best....But then again I can't tell my students that....Which brings me around in a cirle to the part where I mentioned a perfect world....

Sure, they may be insecure, unconfindent or whatever but the bottom line is that they choose to be mean and know they are being mean. We should just ignore their comments and continue to help others feel good about themselves and stand up against them.

People are like that because they feel macho. I really hate when people do that also. It makes me want to slap the person. I have three friends that are tom girls. And I appreciate the way thy are. That doesn't conclude me as a tom boy but it gets pretty annoying when they say that to my friends. What really works is to ignore them. It's not that hard.

The reason is people think that they need to be special so in order for them to be special they need to make others fell like they are worthless. So they make fun of the smart, kind, or just plain normal kids. That is why people make fun of each other.

Because many people are unaccepting and do not know how to handle not only others, but, sadly enough, themselves. And I guess a lot of them just don't think.
