Well it was my first time on ebay and I clicked buy just like i do on other sites to check the total price but it wont let me cancel the buy. So what happens if you don't pay?

You can retract/cancel a bid, but there are limitations, and, if you do it too often, you'll be kicked-off of ebay. FWIW, I did so, once, but was made to feel like dirt by the seller, even though the item eventually sold to someone else (as a seller, myself, if someone wants to retract, especially a newbie, I'd allow it without comment).

The boards will deliver you in the superb direction.

they will probably just delete or ban your account that you didn't pay for the item on and they might ban your ip adress which you could always change
