Don currently is showing 666 as his total best answers in philosophy
so my question is, how many other people are bothered by/avoid this number?
i know i do, if my purchase adds up to that, i buy something else, if my change is that, i buy something else, i wont let anyone hand me that amount of change, i wont at work take a worksheet number with that in it
and i am really not, in other ways, superstitious,

If you read the scripture it's just calling 666 man's number because according to that scripture man was created on the 6th day. The letter of Revelation was just to warn others who held the same belief system about the troubles of life. Superstition is superimposed by misunderstanding and fear. It has no real meaning other than for those who it was written to back then. Your local church wants you to be afraid so you will join their congregation and tithe 10% of your income in exchange for the magic spell called the sinners prayer. If you evoke it with enough belief you will supposedely be saved.

your name has 333 in it, so you're half of 666 !!! Be careful of the half-pint demon. LOL

I love getting change that's 6.66. But it's not the same because they didn't have dollars and cents back then, so you're immune from it :) They used some other form of currency in bible times. Besides, after inflation, $6.66 would be more like $6666666.66 in money from 2000 years ago, right?

I was born 7/7 at 7:14 and I weighed 7 pounds and 7 ounces and it was also my mother's birthday. I have 2 dear friends and one family member born on 6/6. Last year, all of their birthdays were 6-6-6 and we had a good laugh. The only time I have been seriously superstitous was when I got a license plate that started with letters EVL- this seemed like evil to me and at first I told myself to get serious and put them on my car. After the 4th time I was rear ended in 6 months and this time it totaled my car out, I decided that I was not tripping and got rid of the plates and the car. So, I can't say that your superstition is unfounded.

I used to deliver pizzas. One of my favorite customers (read: better tippers) lived at 666 Whatever Street.

I love it when the auto cut-off gas nozzle stops at $6.66. (Well, it used to when seven bucks worth filled the tank!)

My daughter bought her boyfriend a bumper sticker: 667 -- Neighbor of the Beast.

I built a fence once, using 6" X 6" X 6' posts -- the lumber of the Beast.

Nope, no avoidance here!

Aha, Philosophy is the work of the devil and Don is a speedy agent. Seriously, haven't you had a grocery bill that was $6.66? I've had that more than a few times. No biggie.

Don't worry about nonsenses.

666 has exactly the same significance as 665 or 667.

Perhaps he should be shunned and relegated to the least visited board of Yahoo! Answers until the number changes.
