The psychologist Bruce Ekman, who has studied facial expressions and body language for most of his career, describes something called "duping delight." It's the pleasure you feel when you've pulled something over on someone. Does it seem that Gonzales's facial expression shows shows "duping delight"?

grips: I haven't noticed the question being asked at all! I'm taking it as a given that he's lying; I'm just curious whether people see him as showing it in his facial expression.

there is no doubt in my mind ... At the end of the day, guys like Gonzales, Bush, and Cheney, put their feet up on their desk, crack a cold one, and laugh at us

Ol' Al isn't duping his inquisitors, he's laughing at them 'cause they can't touch him.

You see, the old tricks aren't working on George Bush and his gang 'cause George doesn't give a flying fuc* what the wackjobs think or do. Heck, they're so weak that George and his boys and girls must stay up late every Friday night going over each and every pathetic failure Little Nancy and Ho-Hum Harry have concocted that week.

Summary: George is weakened; the Dems are just plain weak. Nothing new there, I know, but it does bear pointing out for the deluded.

Yes, because he knows that he's secure in his position.

The worst that can happen to him is criminal conviction -- and Bush would immediately pardon him.

Beyond that, anything done against him would have to go through the Justice Department, which he runs.

And even if he does get sacked as AG, Bush would appoint him to some other position as a recess appointment.

So, he has nothing to lose.
