It has become kind of accepted. If you have worked hard and made some money and you can afford to pay the current wife her court ordered wages and still have enough left to attract a 25 to 30 year old hot trophy wife, why shouldn’t you. What are peoples thoughts on this trend.

It is up to you. It is a free country. But make sure the wife you are dumping is taken care of financially.

First of all, this isn't a trend. And contrary to what you think it has not been accepted except by men who are selfish and are only concerned with their own needs, wants and desires.
As for your hard work, who do you think was standing behind you and beside you urging you on to excel and applauding all the high points in your life? Santa Claus? No dude, it was your wife. Perhaps you remember her? She's the one who was good enough to marry, have sex with, gave birth to YOUR children, raised them and still did everything else for you and the family. And since when did it all become YOUR money?
Why is it that your wife is no longer acceptable? Because she doesn't turn you on? Then tell her what you'd like. Don't expect her to guess. Now that YOU'VE raised the family, you have a classic case of empty-nest syndrome. Did you only marry her because she would provide you with heirs? Is it because she is starting to get a little worn around the edges? Look in the mirror bud; I'll bet you aren't exactly Mr. Studly either. Offer to exercise with her or better yet, if she wants it, pay for her plastic surgery to fix the areas that YOU have a problem with.
All you are looking for is arm candy. Even arm candy matures and gets old. What's going to happen when the flavor of the month gets too old for you? You gonna find someone even younger?
Just a thought: your wife may take you to the cleaners and you may NOT be able to keep her in the lifestyle to which she has become accustomed.
Get over yourself dude. I can assure you, she will.

Still catching my breath on the "raised his family" comment. More than likely if he was out being successful he didn't have much to do with the day to day raising of his children. Also what kind of sacrafices did his wife make for all those years so that he can be successful. Hell ya he can go out and get a trophy wife, however I don't know what woman would want a 50 year old washed up homeless man that is paying out the keister in alimony, and working like a dog to eat bologna, because he'll pay dearly for that trophy wife. I think it's a great trend and every man should try it.

I think it's disgusting. If you are the 50 year old then watch out, because you reap what you sow. The hot trophy wife will dump you like a hot potato when something better looking, younger and has plenty of money comes along. Your wife does not deserve this.

I think the husband that does this is not a man. What 25-30 hot girl would want a 50 year old guy? Come one ur not Tom Cruise or Michael Douglas. I think it gross and I don't really know where it's accepted, morality and ethics would say no. I think your moral compass is broken. I think the wife should get 100% of the assests and how do you think his children would feel about Dad dating someone closer to their age than his?? You'd lose respect...

That sounds like a sad man, to me. All his value is placed on materialistic things and outward appearances. How shallow.
I guess the woman he divorces-- if she gets a good enough settlement-- is better off without him.
Isn't there more to life than impressing people? And you know what? Most people aren't impressed by guys with "trophy wives." They think the guy's pathetic and has to buy everything. I have a lot more respect for a guy who has "made it" monetarily and has been with his wife for 30 years or so and still adores her.

What about the inner you? Forget about showing off and pretending that this woman would be into you if it weren't for your money. Find someone and fall in love all over again. Think about when you turn 60. Mentally connect with a woman your age. You will be in divorce court all over again with a woman half your age. Better is not found on the outside of the book only; yet found in the pages of the book.

its most likely a mid life crisis, a trophy wife will not stay faithful, will not be there for u when your old and sick, stay with the wife u got, get some therapy, its not going to be all that once u get it. the trophy wife will only be in it for the money and once she spends all u got she will be outta there on to the next guy. there ain't no fool like an old fool, plus u reap what u sow, and what u do to your wife will come back to u.

ah, the 50 year old guy is rich enuf to pay his wife her WAGES. that guy is making me swoon. and of course all the hot, not the cold, but the hot 25 year olds will be lining up to be the next wife to get paid wages. what does this guy do, hire wives? sounds like he ! is the trophy!!

a trophy wife is a degrading name to women. If u have children and you are successful and happy why not stay with the wife you have? you u love her personality and the way she is as a mother etc, but you dont like her looks give her plastic surgery if u must. but remember its what is on the inside not the outside
