No you should not feel guilty. Enjoy the bananas! They are healthy, and other countries benefit from you buying them.

Not really. You have to eat, and since living off food you have grown yourself is impractical for most people for various reasons, the best choice from a viewpoint of both personal health and carbon footprint is to eat a diet heavy in fresh produce and minimally processed grains.
