Can anyone be a dog walker? I want to do it as experience, (I want to be a vet) I'm fairly experienced with animals and am 16 yrs old. Do I need any kind of licesing? What kind of pay could I expect, and how would I advertise. What kind of rules should I have about e.g. un-neutered dogs, unvaccinated dogs, dangerous dogs, on or off lead walks, etc. Can anyone please give me some information (I'm not looking for a full-time job, just a bit of experience in the proffession.)

I live in Liverpool, England. I don't know what the UK laws are though.
I have done other work experience with animals; farms, vet surgeries, catteries, rescue shelters.

You will need to wait a little bit ,there is quite a bit responsibility attached to dog walking. If you want to do it right you need insurance and you need to be old enough. Are you ready to spend money before you make some?

You have to find out if the city where you live requires a license to be a dog-walker.
You probably would, as you are taking responsibility of another person's property (dog). I don't know how a license would help if the dog was stolen from you or ran away.

Call the ASPCA/SPCA in your city and ask. If your city has a 311 phone number call them and ask about licensing, where you get a license and the cost.

First study something on Veterinary Medicine then get a job at a dog and cat hospital go for the bigger jobs with animals.
I am a dog lover - have always had a trained dog which I train to be my companion. I can almost make them bark/talk.
I have an australian black dingo dog - his name is Jose but I wound up calling him Ozzie, because when I call him Jose people call him Ozzie. He bark/sings the "Three blind mice".
