A friend of mine uploaded a video and later deleted it. However, someone else downloaded the video (using an illegal program, i assume) and uploaded it to HIS account, changing the title/tags to something vulgar (in a foreign language I had translated) and embedding it on his pornographic website (there is nothing bad about the video, idk why he embedded it there). There is also a link to his website in the title of the video and the description. I have contacted youtube countless times and flagged the video inappropriate yet no action has been taken. My friend contacted youtube and they sent her an email 3 days ago saying "content has been removed" ...yet the video is still there! The girls in the video are under 18, i'm thinking this could be classified as sexual harassment. Any tips on how to get youtube to remove this video? Should I send them another e-mail?

When a video is embedded in a webpage, it displays a picture of a scene from that video. When YouTube removes a video, the picture still remains, but the video cannot be played.

If the video can still be played, try contacting YouTube again. If they fail after this, threaten a lawsuit.

Where you at the Olympics and did you video tape it yourself? I don't think they did anything "illegal" if it was a video that didn't belong to you to begin with. And besides, who really is it hurting? Even though it is rude, you see this often on Youtube. Just report it and then let it go. Unfortunately, every time you put something on the internet it is open for anybody to steal and call their own. Not much you can really do about it.

What you do is first tell the person nicely about this situation if not work contact youtube or higher authority and when they say if you told this person about it, you can say you explained what is going on and they will be in trouble your problem is solved.
