The hardest thing I have had to overcome was losing the use of my hands. I damaged my wrists in a care-giving accident. It took a lot of physical therapy, but I am happy to report I was back to normal after about 1.5 years. I still wear "splints" while sleeping to keep my wrists straight during the night.
