Turn off UAC (User Account Control). You can read about how to do this in Windows Help.

If you are updating a driver manually, try right-clicking on the file then run click run as administrator, then you might have to confirm to open (this sometimes varies)
If your updating through a program for example you've got an open program and you are clicking something like Help then update, try right-clicking the program before opening it and clicking run as administrator.

I know, it annoys me to, here's how to get rid of it:

Go to the control panel and click add/remove user accounts. Then at the bottom, click "Go to the main user accounts page".

Then click Turn User Account Control on/off and uncheck the box and click ok.

Problem solved.
