Say it's not the most flattering thing your have to wear, and then suggest your favorite outfit that you like to them~! They will like that you were honest, and that you didn't say yes they look fat!

im not a guy but id tell a girl the truth but not in a hurtful way if its a yes. think of how shell react before you tell her. hope this helps
