The best thing to do is just make stuff. I've been doing 3D work for years, and I'm 15! The idea is to get yourself out there and if people like your work, you're in.

In California you can find at least 5.

i'm guessing but: direct a video with just you and your friends (and volunteers) and take/mail it to a movie company.
