The average healthy couple has about a 20% chance in any given cycle with well-timed intercourse. And a day and a half before ovulation would be considered well-timed intercourse. So, odds are around 20%.

On average, both of the people listed as "top contributors" are correct.

In non-contracepting couples, the average would be about 20%.

Your chances would be considerably lower if you have been trying for more than 1 year, or you're in your latter 30s.

If you have a history of pelvic pain, Chlamydia or Gonorrhea, pain with intercourse, breat discharge, unwanted hair growth on your face or abdomen -- your chances are probably lower and you should seek evaluation.

If you have not used contraception in more than 1 year, seek an evaluation with an Ob/Gyn or Reproductive Endocrinologist. If it's been 2 years -- you'll probably want to see a reproductive endocrinologist first.

Good luck.

Even though you're not trying, you sure timed it perfectly! But it's only about 20 percent of a chance.

it's a good possibility, but make sure you have intercourse on the day of ovulation and maybe even the day after or 2 days after.
Good luck

Sperm can live 3 to 5 days - so your chances are probably pretty good.

Assuming there are no fertility issues that you don't know about, the standard 20% chance would be your odds.

i would say about a 50/50 chance. also sperm can live for about 2-3 days in your uterus.

You know what they call people who don't use protection?

Parents. ;)

As jilldaniel explained above, there is a good chance that you will have a positive pregnancy test in your near future.
