I've read some of Chaucer's Canterbury Tales. However, I know very little about the place beyond the fictional stories.

I know I always wanted to visit the cathedral...and that there is a wonderful Christmas and tea shop called Canterbury Gardens that I love to visit every year. One of those traditions that helps get you in the mood for the holidays.

Well....ummmmm....let me see. It has a cathedral, and the most important archbishop in the Church of England....but, I'm ashamed to say, I don't know much more than that. Oh....and my boss had a son who was in the cathedral choir school....but that probably comes under the heading of "too much information".
Oh...and I forgot to mention....the present archbishop is a guy called Rowan Williams.
