Just show up to a Pro team's training camp with a team shirt on and carrying a clipboard.

At least have some high school and college playing experience and preferably a coaching or a teaching degree. Start at the bottom of the coaching rung with probably 3 to 5 years at jr high, 5 to 6 at high school, maybe throw a few years of jr college in there, a few years at a division 3 college, if you are lucky you get notice by a division 1 head coach who brings you in as an assistant, 5 years as a lower assistant and then the head coach who brought you in gets an offer from the NFL and he takes you with, then 5 years as a WR coach in the NFL followed by a few years as a QB coach then maybe as a offensive coordinator.

start by being a great high school coach--get a university or college to believe in you and be an assitant coach with them and work your way up to head coach then hope an nfl team likes your swagger and hires you to coordinate for them
