Taxes would take 5 million right off the bat. I'd put 10 million into stable investments so I have interest to live on the rest of my life. With the remaining 5, I'd give some away to church, friends, and family. I'd also buy a house.

Invest most of it, and use the money earned off of the investments and the rest to travel the world, and never work again.

If I could have a guarenteed income of only $50, 000 a year without having to work, I could easily be content. I don't need luxuries, just freedom.

10% to throw away on cars, houses, family, travel etc.

45% in laddered municipal bonds... would be a yield of about 4% which would give me 360,000 per year in tax free income ... so my budget would be 30k per month net spending cash

10% in common stocks as a trading account for fun and profit
35% diversified equity mutual funds..

rebalance between bonds and equities once per year... stick to the budget where i only live off of the interest my bond portfolio earns each year without carring any debt.

not that i've every fantasized about winning powerball before :)
