Its Definitely the Jacksonville Jaguars. Last season they had the 2nd best defense in the League with half of their starters injured. This season they have a new Offensive coordinator, Quarterback coach, 2 new wide receiver coachs, and a new Special Teams coach. Byron leftwich is coming off of ankle surgery that he has been needing for 2 years and he says its the best he has felt since college. This season the Jaguars are going to have a legitimate shot at taking the AFC South from the Colts and make it to the AFC Championship against a team like the Pats or Chargers, and have a shot at the Super Bowl.

Washington? Not even close, the same team that made Adam Archuleta the highest paid safety in the NFL only to let him ride the bench, and a 6-10 record? No way. Pittsburgh? With a new coach, and some losses in free agency, I just don't see it happening. Turnovers killed the Steelers this year, and I think the jury's still out on Rothlesburger. I know he won a Super bowl, but how much of a role he had in it? Either way, not the best team to make it to the SB next year The niners still are a better defense and a better O-line away. Alex Smith is the answer to a lot of questions, but not all of them. San Fran will contend, but not win. Cincy's D still is lacking in the passing game. And with all those arrests, the team might ship out some talented but bad character guys. Losing E.Steinbach didn't help either. Out of your picks i think they're the best. Atlanta also has a new coach, and the passing game woes aren't limited to Vick's problems throwing the ball too. They had a solid D in 05, but 06 it came apart, especially in the secondary. I've always thought they're the most overrated team the past 2 years I'ma go with Carolina. I thought they're overrated too, but I couldn't put my real pick, Jacksonville, with all the QB problems they've had. The Jags had a top 5 defense statistically and the 2nd best rushing attack. Carolina has a good defense, though they've always been sidetrack by injuries, and an OK offense. I say OK because they run the ball alot but they're not very good at it. Steve Smith can take it to the house anytime, anywhere. Jake Dellhome is the key. Last season he struggled, and the team struggled. The pathers will go only as far as he takes them.

Redskins. They were 10-6, and into the second round of the playoffs in 2005-6. Last year they fell to 5-11. They have good players who are well paid. Last year the team was still learning the complicated offense and the defense didn't play up to potential. One year later, things are different, the offense has a young quaterback to grow with rather than an aging liability, two great running backs. The secondary is much better with landry, smoot, macklin, added to rogers, springs, taylor. Receivers will be ill advised to go over the middle against that. If the D-line can play up to potential things should be good. London Fletcher added at ILB, should give Marcus Washington more freedom to rush on the outside. Here's one team that no one is talking about that will surprise. Last year it was the New Orleans Saints out of nowhere, this year, expect it to be the Washington Redskins.

Hate to say it but the Denver Broncos. They have added some muscle to offense and defense. Travis Henry, Brandon Stokley, Dre Bly, Daniel Graham, Quincy Morgan. All good additions to a team that will be getting better. Probably won't win the Superbowl. But in my opinion are the best team that didn't make the playoffs last year.

With a potential huge upside to Cutler...I have to say Denver. I'm hearing so many things that remind me of when Dan Marino first showed up in Miami.
If its all hype...they'll miss the playoffs altogether...however, if he plays better than last season (and for a rookie he played fairly well) this could be a team that could challenge for the title very quickly.

Possibly the Broncos and Steelers for the AFC. Let's see how the Steelers adjust to a new coaching staff. Denver looks real strong and other than KC, their division will be the lauging stock of the Conference.
For the NFC... Possibly Carolina and St. Louis. But you can finish 500 in the NFC and have a shot at the playoffs.

I'm gonna go with the Bengals or Broncos. Actually I have them both as the 2 wild card teams from the AFC.
