Read the newspaper for ideas if it is fictional or informative. Make an outline and include all sorts of crazy scenarios, then get serious and write a more "serious" orderly outline. Jot down random thoughts about the assignment, write exactly what you want to write, read it and either elaborate or start over. Nothing is sacred, nothing is trash when you need to get creative. Brain storm. What is the hardest aspect of the assignment, the easiest, the part that doesn't interest you the part that could if you could write it differently. Write it all down and see what you can use, then re-write it. 6 hours from now my time I like 6: 37 AM. Guess it is due Monday morning. So just start, then work with what you have. Maybe read something about the subject or someone else's paper, by using a search engine. But quit waiting. Writing is NOT magical, it gets better with practice.
