The most famous person I ever met was Mikhael Gorbachev. He was some kind of ruler over in Europe. Russian, or Romanian, or something. I forget.
Anyway, he was walking along side of the road and I picked him up and gave him a ride. He said he was on his way to meet President Reagan for a summit. At first I didn't believe him because he talked funny and I thought he was just tongue- tied or a yankee from New Jersey, or something, or a wino.
It turns out he was telling the truth and he said I could just call him Mickey. He said that was his American name. So I told him he could just call me Bill. He asked if that was short for William and I said , "No." I just don't like my real name which I told him was Marion, because it sounds like a girl's name. Anyway, he said he would buy us a bottle of Vodka if I would stop at the liquor store. So I stopped and he bought us some vodka (Smirnoff) and we got drunk and he showed up drunk for his meeting with Reagan and Reagan tricked him into tearing down some kind of wall over in Germany. I never did get the full details because I haven't spoken to him for almost 20 years. I never will forget my little ride with my friend, Mickey.

I met Floetry, last week, when they stopped here in Boston. My sis works at a hotel they were set to stay in, and I work next door in the office center. That was a really special, I almost RAN full speed when I saw their tour bus... I LOVE Floetry, they're some truly talented sistas.
I also met Craig David, when I was a Junior in High School. He was performing at the Avalon on Landsdown, I went to Fenway High, and he winked and said "hello love." It was really cool cause I was soo into him at the time.
Have seen Bobby Brown, but not one person from boston gives a FCUK about him.

Queen Elizabeth II in Inverness when I was about 10yrs old. I gave her a little flag!
The Proclaimers (their Mom still lives in the same town)
Lady Diana (before she became the Princess of Wales)
Judy Drench when she was filming in Scotland.
Wales' entire rugby team at Stansted Airport.
I have met quite a few less famous people including more interesting people such as the artist who uses corpses in his art. I can't remember his name but I met him at an exhibition of his work in Köln, Germany about 6yrs ago.
I met the River Dance cast backstage in Germany too.
Oh, and President Clinton at Ramstein AFB!

Bill Gates, Richard Nixon, Colin Powell, Gerald Ford, Jim Thompson ( former governor of Ilinois ), Oliver North.
Eddie Bracken the actor. I met and shook hands with him when I was 2 years old. That photo hung in our family room for years and I wish I knew where it was.
I met Colin Powell during the Desert Strom Parade Day in Chicago, in May or June of 1991.
I've met Bill Gates several times between 1991 and 1996.
But most importantly, I met Jesus Christ when I was a sophomore in high school and He's been my Lord and my friend ever since.
